For the first time ever Selecta, the leader in the Tunisian market of school stationery, will manufacture under license for Mattel, in its home African markets.
Launching in September, Selecta will represent two of Mattel’s top-selling brands Barbie and Monster High, joining Selecta impressive portfolio of back-to-school and general stationery.
Ms. Dorra Ennaifer, Marketing Manager at Selecta, explains: “This is the first licensing partnership we have undertaken and is the latest exciting development for the company. But this isn’t just about a commercial venture; we’ve been listened to what children and teens want from their stationery and responded to these expectations. Stationery is a way for children to express themselves, and it’s important we reflect what’s popular in their world.
“Becoming a licensee of Mattel has been a very exciting and rewarding process. At the beginning a lot of hard work goes into building relationships and presenting the quality products Selecta has to offer. Once we were successful it has been a great experience for us working with international designers to create the finished products.”
Set to expand over the next two school years, the Barbie and Monster High collections will include notebooks, soft cover books, spiral and wire bound notebooks, school planners, folders, ring binders and notepads.
